Cambodia is one of twenty-two counties with the highest burden of tuberculosis in the world. The Saksit and SMS initiatives are promoting eartier diagnosis and treatment of TB. With these two programs in place, we are minimizing the continued spread of TB in the community of Kampong Cham, Cambodia.
National Tuberculosis Control Program (NTP)
Goal: The main goal of the NTP is to contribute to improving the health of the Cambodian people in order to contribute to socio-economic development and poverty reduction in Cambodia by reducing the morbidity and the mortality due to tuberculosis.
