Cambodia is among the 22 countries in the world with a high burden of tuberculosis (TB). The WHO Report 2007 (Global Tuberculosis Control Surveillance,
Planning, Financing) provides the following estimates of TB in Cambodia: prevalence of all forms was 703/100,000 population; estimated
incidence of smear positive cases was 226/100,000 population and the TB mortality rate was 87/100,000 population.
