Annual progress report of the national leprosy elimination program 2012

The National Leprosy Control Program, Kingdom of Cambodia has achieved the goal of elimination of leprosy as a public health problem (prevalence less than 1 case per 10000 populations) at the national level by the end of 1998. The elimination status was well sustained between 1999 and 2010 with a further decline in prevalence and case detection rates. Elimination was also accomplished at 21 out of 24 provinces and 75 out of 77 operational districts 2012 (launched Leprosy Active Case Finding Project through Household members and Neighbours Contact Examination with IEC).
